There are three different types of Quarterly Block Plans available to all students. They are required for residents of Arnett, Ashton, Emerson, Hill, and Moyer residence halls. The Quarterly Block Plans comes with meals which are considered an entrance into Gwinn Commons or a Meal exchange from one of our three designated retail locations. Guests will also receive a set amount of dining dollars to spend at retail locations each quarter.

Plan features

  • All meals are disbursed at the start of the quarter. Unused meals expire at the end of the quarter.
  • A meal is considered an entrance into Gwinn Commons or a Meal Exchange at a retail location.
  • There is no limit on the number of meals used per day in Gwinn; there is a limit of one Meal Exchange per day.
  • Meals can be used for the student or for guests.
  • Dining Dollars roll quarter to quarter, but not year to year.
  • Meal Plan changes are accepted during the last three weeks of the quarter for the following quarter.

 


There are two Per-Purchase Meal Plans that are available to campus apartment residents and commuters only.

Block 50
A combination of 50 entrances into Gwinn Commons and Meal Exchanges at retail locations.
Price: $722

Block 25
A combination of 25 entrances into Gwinn Commons and Meal Exchanges at retail locations.
Price: $376

Plan features

  • Unused meals roll from quarter to quarter and year to year until graduation or withdrawal from the University, at which time they are forfeited.
  • Block 25 and Block 50 plans do not automatically renew; additional plans may be purchased as needed.
  • There is no limit on the number of meals used per day in Gwinn; there is a limit of one Meal Exchange per day.
  • Meals can be used for the student or for guests.

Falcon Funds, SPU's campus currency, can be loaded onto your Falcon Card to purchase food Tax Free at all campus dining locations. You can also use it to make purchases at the SPU Bookstore, Copying and Printing and vending machines across campus. Add Falcon Funds
If you run out of dining dollars or want to supplement your Block 25 or 50 plan, add Falcon Funds to your Falcon Card. It provides a convenient and secure way to make purchases at our dining locations. To add more funds to your Falcon Card, go here

If you have a special diet or food allergy, please note it in your Housing Application. Requests will be reviewed and forwarded to the appropriate office. The executive chef and food service manager are also available to discuss options to meet your needs.

A selection of vegetarian and vegan items are offered at all meals. Students with dietary needs that cannot be met by Dining Services should consider living in the campus apartments, where a meal plan is not required.

With Meal Exchanges, students can use one meal swipe to get three to-go items (an entrée, side dish, and a beverage) from Handcrafted, Pie on the Fly or Serrano Grille. To ensure ample supply, there is a limit of one Meal Exchange per day.


Meal plan balances are available from the cashier, the Campus Card Website, or by downloading the free GET Mobile app where you can track your balance from your smartphone.
